These Terms of Use apply to the FamilyOps iOS app and the familyops.dev website. By using either one, you agree to these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app or the website. "FamilyOps," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the provider of FamilyOps. "Content" includes materials, data, text, graphics, code, and media available through the app or website.
1. App license
FamilyOps grants you a limited, non-transferable license to use the FamilyOps iOS app on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, and as permitted by Apple's App Store Terms of Service and Usage Rules, including Family Sharing or volume purchasing where available. This license is for personal household-management use only. You do not receive any ownership interest in the app, its code, design, name, logo, or other intellectual property.
Your use of FamilyOps is also subject to Apple's App Store Terms of Service and, where applicable, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If these terms conflict with Apple's required terms for App Store apps, Apple's required terms control to the extent required.
2. Apple App Store terms
These terms are between you and FamilyOps, not Apple. FamilyOps, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for FamilyOps.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple is not responsible for any claims related to FamilyOps, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection claims, intellectual property claims, or any other claim arising from your use of the app.
If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any, as required by Apple's App Store terms. FamilyOps currently has no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or paid digital content.
Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms as they relate to the FamilyOps iOS app. After you accept these terms, Apple has the right to enforce the applicable app-related terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
3. Acceptable app use
You may use FamilyOps only for lawful household-management purposes. You may not:
- Copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where the law expressly allows it;
- Rent, lease, sell, sublicense, distribute, or transfer the app;
- Use the app to violate another person's privacy, safety, or legal rights;
- Enter data you do not have authority to manage, including information about minors outside your household responsibility;
- Interfere with iCloud, CloudKit, Sign in with Apple, Apple Push Notification service, or any other Apple service used by the app;
- Use the app in a way that is unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, abusive, or intended to bypass security or access controls.
4. App data and Apple services
FamilyOps uses Sign in with Apple for authentication and Apple CloudKit/iCloud for data storage and sync. Household records are stored in your iCloud account or in an iCloud share you create with other household members. FamilyOps does not operate a separate server for household content and does not include third-party SDKs, ads, analytics SDKs, in-app purchases, or subscriptions at this time. Your use of Apple services remains subject to Apple's own terms and privacy policies.

Use occurs at sole risk. No liability is assumed for any damages, including data loss, system damage, or business interruption. Where limitations are restricted by law, liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted.
6. No warranties
The FamilyOps app and website are provided "as is" and "as available" without express or implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, or non-infringement, except for any warranty that cannot be excluded under applicable law or Apple's required App Store terms.
