FamilyOps helps a household see who is doing what, when, and whether anyone is available to cover each task. The articles below are intentionally direct.

Getting Started

Initial setup

  • Create a household.
  • Add adults, dependents, caregivers, and the capability tags that matter.
  • Add recurring responsibilities and schedule events that affect availability.

Invite another household member

  • Open Settings inside the app, choose Invite to household, and share the invitation through Messages or Mail.
  • The invited person must accept the iCloud share while signed in with their own Apple ID.
  • You can revoke a share from the same screen.

Account & Access

Sign in with Apple is not completing

  • Confirm you are signed into iCloud on the device: iOS Settings → Apple ID.
  • Confirm Two-Factor Authentication is enabled for your Apple ID.
  • Force-quit FamilyOps, reopen it, and try again.
  • Restart the device if the Apple prompt does not appear.

Household members are not syncing

  • Confirm iCloud is on for FamilyOps: iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Apps using iCloud → FamilyOps.
  • Confirm the second person accepted the household invitation.
  • Pull to refresh on the Today screen. CloudKit pushes can take a few seconds.

Scheduling & Tasks

A task still shows "Needs coverage"

  • Check that the schedule event overlaps the task time window.
  • Confirm the affected member is selected on the event.
  • Confirm the assigned member has the required capability tag, such as licensed_driver.

Notifications are not arriving

  • iOS Settings → Notifications → FamilyOps: confirm Allow Notifications is on.
  • Check Focus modes such as Do Not Disturb, Sleep, or Work.
  • CloudKit subscription delivery depends on Apple's APNs and may take a few seconds.

Billing / Plans

FamilyOps has no in-app purchases, paid digital content, subscriptions, or third-party billing at this time.

Privacy & Security

Where is my data stored?

In your own iCloud account, using Apple CloudKit. FamilyOps does not run a separate content server. Shared households use Apple's CKShare mechanism.

Does FamilyOps see or sell my household data?

No. We do not have a server that receives your household content, and we do not sell or share your data.

Are there ads or third-party tracking?

No ads, no analytics SDKs, no advertising identifiers, no cross-app tracking.

Account and data deletion

  1. Delete inside the app. Delete household, member, task, or event records directly. You can also remove app data through iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage → FamilyOps.
  2. Email a deletion request. Send a message to support@familyops.dev with the subject line Data deletion request. We will acknowledge within 7 days and complete the request within 30 days.
